About the Summit
In response to the increasingly severe extreme weather and mountain forest governance challenges faced by Pan-Pacific nations, this summit is initiated by the forestry enterprises most directly affected.
Jen Chang Sawmill Co., Ltd. and Hii Forest Co., Ltd. co-host with Taiwanese and international forestry and machinery industry partners,
with academic co-organization by the Japan Forest Engineering Society and other organizations.
The summit aims to share governance experiences and technologies in mountain forest management across nations, leading Taiwan's continued progress in forest engineering.
Centered on Alishan, Taiwan, the summit combines field visits to Jen Chang forestry, Alishan Forest Railway ecological study, international paper presentations and group discussions,
bringing together forestry experts, researchers and industry representatives from across the Pan-Pacific region to discuss forest management, timber utilization, and smart forestry technology under extreme climate conditions.
