What is the Partner Database?
This summit is not just an event — it is the starting point of an international forestry partner network for Taiwan.
All registrants' data (with consent) will be stored in a structured database for long-term use:
- Academic collaboration — Match scholars across TW/JP/KR/US for joint research
- Technical matching — Companies find experts by field when needed
- International exchange — Future event invitations, cross-country visits
- Information sharing — Research findings, technology trends
- Study abroad support — Student pathway to JP/TW institutions

Privacy Protection
Data Protection Principles
1. Consent-based: Only data from registrants who opt in enters the database
2. Minimal exposure: Queries show only "field + affiliation + country" — no direct Email/phone
3. Intermediated: All introductions handled manually by organizers; no direct PII queries
4. Admin-only: Full data visible only to organizers
5. Right to withdraw: Any partner may request data deletion at any time

This summit builds on the themes of IUFRO Division 3 (Forest Operations) and FORMEC (International Symposium on Forestry Engineering) to establish a Pan-Pacific forestry exchange platform.

After the summit, abstracts and poster presentations will be compiled into an electronic proceedings volume (ISSN pending), providing:
